Rifle suggestions?

How about the Bass Pro Remington 700 ADL in 6.5 CM for $419 to start. This leaves plenty of room for stock and trigger. Then there is front and rear rests to consider, Reloading supplies, scope, etc, etc.

Unfortunately, the closest Bass Pros to me is one state over, so I can't buy one from them. Academy has them for $450 so I might just get it from there. It is a good idea though, that way I can have a working rifle and buy upgrades as I go

What is the advantage of a wooden stock over a chassis?

No argument here! I love the look of a wooden stock, and I'll probably go that route down the road, but the ones I've seen are too expensive once you have the inletting finished and get it bedded, for me right now.

Main thing is they track where a chassis doesnt. No br shooter in any discipline uses a chassis- theres multiple reasons why and theyre listed here
