We are fortunate to have some of the best rifle builders and painters in the country as members right here on Accurate Shooter.
The list is long and I would not want to miss anyone so I’ll just add that one of my all time favorites is from Mike Ezell @gunsandgunsmithing

Feel free to add to the list .

That's a favorite of mine as well.
Everything done by @Bc'z
Thanks brother. Did you see I finally got a mention in the bulletin on Sunday?
Ron Tilley's WFO made by Jason Avila in Bastogne walnut.
Here's a shot of a couple Dennis Ray @Southwest Action Works laminate stocks for two young lady shooters, Shilo and Grace Plue.20250916_090451.jpg

I've been shooting benchrest for 50+ years. Over the years I've seen some really good painted stocks. In my opinion the best I've seen is from Brett Childers in Oregen. He did 2 stocks for Jeff Crose and me that were made on Cedar. When I got the stocks back there wasn't flaw anywhere. I held the stock up to a light and looked down the sides of the stock; not only was the finish perfectly smooth but there wasn't curve or straight section that wasn't perfect. They were the best finishes I've ever seen. I can tell you from experience that sanding a soft wood with raised grain is not easy. The application of the finish coat was as I said perfect.

Thank you Gary for the kind words, coming from a master of your craft this means a lot!

Thaks for the kind words; however there ae many out there that do what I do, but there is no one out there that does what you do on a rifle stock. I would have posted the others that you died and painted but I couldn't find the pics that I took. Your latest one on Jeffs blue carbon was a gold medal. Brett, not only does GREAT work but he is easy to work with. Tell him what you think you want and he'll make it happen.
