Rifle I should have purchased.

Back when I was writing for PS Magazine, Dr. Marsh sent me one of his new Saguaro-actioned rifles. This one was put together by Gary Ocock and had a Bruno stock and Krieger 13.5 twist barrel. Eric Stecker gave me some of the new Berger Column bullets and I tried N133 powder. The rifle shot these and other bullets GREAT. Dr. Marsh would probably have sold me the rifle if I asked, but I did not. Here are three consecutive groups with the Column bullets.

The follies of youth. Beautiful rifle but consistent good groups also require a skilled trigger puller. Note the different loads of the 3 consecutive groups.

yeah, so much for that extra granule of powder making a difference! LOL! When you find the right load combo it matters little! Notice as the case got full it shot better. A ppc trait! Gary is still making great shooting rifles. He knows how to chamber a tube!
