Rifle Case for Competition Rifle

You really need two cases for each gun. I use hard cases in the truck or trailer and soft at the range. I know Shiraz put those soft cases on sale right after I bought three! They are nice and padded. I use some really nice Bone Collector hard cases for travel, but I think they don't make them any more. I guess this is one reason I don't fly to matches, to much stuff.

For taking gear up and down firing lines and to & from your vehicle how about looking into a cart?Check out www.ruggedgear.com and look at the 2 gun cart they offer. I like the looks of them....

I've seen threads like this before.... It always comes around to I would not put $xxxx.xx rifle in a soft case. I bought a Midway dragbag after seeing this brand and others being used at all types of shoots. I know N.F. and March scopes are expensive, but no more expensive then U.S. Optics. or the likes. The Midway is verywell padded and they come in 50"and 56" lenghts.

Looking for something like this? PM me.

I am going to try the Bald Eagle rifle case. See how it works out
I've been taking my F-Open 284 with NF BR on it, to the range in my new Bald Eagle case, and am very pleased with its construction and strength.
I'm a Bullets.com convert and have been purchasing most of my competition items from them.

www.prone2success.com has very thick, reinforced cases up to 63" long.
I have seen his cases at several matches & looked good.
Called and emailed him and did not hear back, not that I'm fickle just didn't hear back.
Bullets.com was much easier to work with, responded, you can order/pay directly on their website and that worked better for me.
He could use a site upgrade so he can respond to email and on-line orders, it's not too difficult.
No harm no foul either way.

I really like my case from Grizzly. Very well made and nice padding from what I have seen. Can't wait to take it to matches and see how it holds up.

This is a great case. I picked it up at Camp Perry last year...It's light, protective, and has carry straps for lugging it between the yardage lines...It's padded very, very well inside with thick layers of foam on both sides, top and bottom. I don't hesitate throwing it into back of truck. It will take a 52" gun easily.

Jim

Jim, you mean you no longer have the short case with the hole on the side to allow barrel to stick out? I should have took a picture of it! LOL
