Rifle case for 51" rifle

I am going to have my next barrel cut 2" longer which will make the OAL of my rifles 51". My current hard case will not fit this.

The one I have found that will fit is the Pelican Air 1755 but before I order I thought I would see if there are any other options I might not be aware of.

If you're not flying with it, get a Savior. I haven't tried one of their singles, but their double cases are wonderful. They post both inside/outside sizes so no guessing. You can order from Amazon, but here's their website so you can see what they offer. You might want to check out the Specialist LRP too. I have two regular doubles, urban warfare 51 and specialist 46 for my folder (or two Ruger No. 1's)
saviorequipment . com be sure to check the sizes for the one you want. Example, the LRP 51" is interior, the doubles those ad sizes are exterior, so check specs ext/int before sending to cart.

specialist double is my fave just cause of the outside layout but unfortunately they don't make that in 51 or 55. The classic is also nice, our youngest has some of those for his AR stuff. I didn't think I'd like them, but have to say I love em, built like a tank and I can leave all my mags, bipods, and other stuff in em so they are ready to go when I take my chassis rifles out. You're not going to tear the handles loose or ruin the zippers on these so long as you use the straps too. 20# chassis with gear, no problem.

Another plus for Savior. I have a LRP soft case and it is really nice. Bulldog makes a decent soft case as well.

Harbor Freight has a nice case. SKB makes a nice case, I have one, but it is heavy. My longer soft cases are by Creedmoor Sports & Armageddon Gear.
I was in Harbor Freight yesterday and looked at the Apache case they carry. It's definitely worth a look and priced well under $200. It appeared to be well made and very sturdy.

It means something nowadays to be able to walk in and pick one out yourself too.

My Palma rifle has an overall length of 54 inches. For local transport I use a soft case, which are abundant in the correct length, but for shipping and travel I take the barrelled action out of the stock. This opens up a lot of options for hard cases and allows me to pack the rifle along with sights in the same shorter case.

I don’t shoot competition, if I did I’d probably use one of my SKB hard cases. We use a lot of Savior double rifle soft cases though. We usually have two rifles in them, they come in a variety of lengths, a few colors, big accessories pockets, ample padding, good zippers and are priced right. We use their long bag offerings for rifles that have 22-26” barrels with an additional 5-7” suppressor. They’ve been great. I prefer a good soft case for hunting trips.
