I recently installed a Rifle Basix Sav-2 trigger on my model 12 benchrest chambered in 6BR. The question I have is, it seems to have a lot of creep before it breaks, the pull weight is great but I would like to adjust out the creep. What do I have to do?
After you get it adjusted to the weight you desire. Try this with no round in the gun. Open and close the bolt so it is cocked and closed in battery. Then slide the safety off and on about ten times. Make sure it does not fire during the process of putting the safety off and on. I have personally had rifles that were adjusted lighter than 1 pound to fire when the safety was worked back in forth. I no longer use Rifle Basix Sav-2 Triggers and are of the opinion that they are not safe. The mass of the trigger is too much for the light spring.
There needs to be a multi leaver trigger designed for Savages.
For right now the Savage Accutrigger is the best option.

If you are gonna throw those Sav-2 triggers away...throw them MY way. I have 7 of them and love the design...Instructions emailed, Dennis
Maybe How much$My Basix works just fine, and much beter than the Accu Trigger that would not cock every time. I have a savage mod 12 accu trigger for sale if anyone wants it.
