Rifle Basix Bench Rest trigger

Has anyone tried their BR trigger for the 700 actions. Says they go down to 2ozs. Have never seen the mentioned for BR.
Wellie-

Howdy !

My first BR trigger was an M-700 unit converted to 2oz by Ken Burns, back in the mid -70s.

* I replaced it after 3+ decades of use, with a 2oz Rifle Basix. Was quite happy with the trigger for use on my groundhog rifle, until...

My best friend gifted me a Jewell 2oz, which in comparison made the Rifle Basix feel
" gravel-y "... for lack of a better term.

No matter, as my friend let me try the 1.5oz Bix N' Andy he had on one of his BR rifles.

I have several of those triggers on my Remington 700 B-R rifles, and I have gotten them down to 4 oz. SAFELY after honing the contact points and replacing the springs with lighter springs.

I have yet to be able to adjust any of them down to 2 oz. and not have them fire if the gun is bumped!

Me personally, I prefer the pull weight on my rifles and handguns to be either 4 or 6 ounces, so it's not really a big deal to me.

I have found the best 2 ounce trigger to be the Shilen 2 oz. B-R trigger. I gave two rifles with these triggers, and both are exactly 2 ounces and will not fire if the gun is bumped.

Wellington -

OOPs ! Fat fingered it......

Was trying to say:

" Now I want a B N' A trigger " ! " C'est la Vie " !

Them groundhogs DK the difference. The Rifle Basix 2oz worked well, for what it was.

I have a few, mostly on varmint rifles, and I have one on a back-up F Class rifle. I have no complaints. Do they feel like the B&A on my primary competition rifle? No. They are also a third of the price. Their value proposition is solid - acceptable performance for a lot less. I've shot more than a few cleans with a Rifle Basix.

I have a couple on Savage Actions. The lowest I can get them is 4oz it is a nice trigger for the money and you don't have a lot of choice with Savage rifle. They are a little fussy to get adjusted right but once you get it right it's a pretty good trigger. With that being said they are no Bix & Andy or Jewll trigger in any way type or manner.
