Rifle Basics Triggers

Looking at a Rifle Basics ERV 3K, adjustable from 4 to 20 oz. I am seeing chatter on the internet that Rifle Basics triggers sometimes lose their adjustment. Any truth to that? Any Recomendations?

No experience with RB Remington trigger. The Savage RB are iffy at best in my findings, use of factory sear because of design I will just stay with a factory trigger. RB would not pass my bench safety test reliably when set much under 1lb.

I had one that I sent back to them. They replaced it and the replacement was not any different. I sold it and went to something else. This was a Remington style.
BTW, their customer service is great.

I bought a RB-2 for the wife's Savage. It's still in the package, just in case :)
Why in the world doesn't Savage SHIM their AccuTrigger?
Shimmed, and with the C-582 spring mod and a lighter blade spring and she is happy with a 2 oz blade, 7 oz total pull. After the next 600yd match this coming Saturday I will work some more on the springs for about 1.5 oz blade, 4.5 oz total (about a 3:1 ratio).

I have four of them on four guns. Have never had an issue with any of them. Three are set to 3 oz and one is set to 8 oz.

Decided to go with the Rifle Basics ERV 3K. I wanted to at least have a trigger with a bolt release, this one came with a safety also which is nice but not really necessary, oh, and the price was right. The TriggerTech I looked at did not appear to offer a bolt release in the pull weight I wanted, was ready to pay the increased cost but, no bolt release. Bixn' Andy and Flavio Fare are much too pricy for this project.

There’s a reason Bix cost a lot more. The ball bearing designs are that much better than the levers Rifle Basix still uses.

I like running the Bixn Andy TacSport Pro on rifles and have a tuned Bix BR trigger as well. Absolutely zero creep and extremely consistent pull weights shot to shot. The Bix TacSport Pro is only about $100 more than the Rifle Basix ERV. I think you would have been much happier with that option, but keep us posted on how you like the Rifle Basix.

No bolt release was a deal breaker.

I bought the one with the bolt release and the safety that goes down 4 ounces, at 4 ounces with a safe amount of sear engagement there is a ton of creep unfortunately. Night and day difference between it and a jewell

3-8 ounces, I am happy for you. Mine would trip unless you were petting it like a new born kitten. Have you done any bump type test on it? Anything under a pound the RB was so inconsistent might be 2 oz one time and over a pound the next. I had three different guys I trust working on my rigs all with the same findings.
I lucked into a SSS trigger, some one needs to pick up the ball on those. They completely replace all the Savage stamped stuff. It is no Jewel but is darn close.

Yes, I have ran the bolt as hard as I can. It will drop the firing pin maybe 1:20 but that’s as hard as I can, not how I actually shoot the rifle

Just installed the RXERV3K Rifle Basix on my Remington 40X. I did not measure the trigger pull but it was difinitely on the lower side of 4 to 20 ounces. I will follow up with how it works out.

I use the 4oz-6oz 700 trigger on my single shot 700s. Probably will buy another. I like them.
I got trigger tecs diamond as well. Really just guess it's a preference thing.

Hi Had a sav-2 on a Savage and I had really no issues. when I switched to the LRP and LPV Rifles, I didn’t need it anymore so I would buy another yes.

Sav 2 user here
It will drive you crazy until you toss the "light" spring in the trash and use their supplied 'heavy' spring--it can't be made consistent with the light one at all--use the other then it starts to respond to adjustments and my experience says keep it around 14 oz or more and it is OK less it just acts like a squirrel --The final adjustment takes Very fine tiny adjustments to get it right--then you have an OK trigger nowhere Near as good as any other for a Remington etc but OK
I would not buy another but after two years of playing with this one I can actually say I like it better than the Factory Red Blade trigger--
JARD seems to be the way to go these days on a Savage
