Ridgway VBR

I would like to thank Shelly B, Fred and all the people who run the match at Ridgway for making it such a great time and well run match. It is the nicest bunch of shooters to be around, good sportmanship and a lot of laughter. The shootoff between Diane Hoover and Steve Brennan was awesome. Can't wait for next year.

I enjoy being a part of this match and this club . It is a great bunch of people . We had a lot of good shooting the weekend . And a lot of great prizes. I agree Ray that shoot off between Dianne and Steve was great.
Congrats to all the winners.

Ridgway is by far, the most fun match we attend. Great format, great people, great time. Kudos to Shelly, Steve, Fred and everyone else involved in putting this match together.

Heard quite a bit about Ridgeway and the Matches...all good of course.
Any chance someone took a few picks of the range ,the match... anything that they could post
for us to enjoy????
Thanks
Gord

Congratulations to all the winners at the VBR championship this weekend in Ridgway! A big thank you to all the sponsors who helped make this shoot even better. Thanks Shelley, Steve, Fred and to all others involved in making this shoot an awesome event. Congratulations Hayden P. For shooting a 30 on Sunday, that's some fine shooting young man! :) Too bad we don't live in an area where we could shoot every month.

I too, would like to thank everyone for all the hard work and dedication that went into not only the championship match, but every match! It just gave me one more reason to do something with my son, that we both enjoy. And with his grandpa there, it makes it twice as special. There's not too many things 3 generations of family can do well together.

Don.. Thanks for the kind words. When Haden had 25 laying coming into his final 5, I told him they are all bonus from here on out. That he had already had an outstanding day. Once him and I agreed on his hold based on conditions, I sat in amazement as he ran all 5 in less than 25 seconds. He sure made myself and grandpa proud taking not only High Junior but 1st in AA overall. Only problem, now that the little turd will move up to AAA, none of us will ever win anything now! He's still pretty pumped about it all. Awesome prizes too you all.. appreciate getting all those sponsors!

I'll see if I can attach some pictures.. My phone went dead at awards time. Already getting ready for the final match in October

I last shot at Ridgeway in 1987 in a high power sillouette match. A group of fellow shooters traveled from Jacksonville, FL to PA and had a great time. Just a few days ago I recorded a Shooting USA program featuring 1,000yd Varmint Silhouette at Ridgeway's range. A trip to PA in 2016 would seem to be in order. My days of shooting off hand are over but the bench
rest Silhoutte 1,000yd game sure looks like fun.

Sorry, most of my pictures are of our bench.. I'd be interested in seeing all the pictures people took as well. That would make for a real cool thread.

1. 3 Generations of shooters: L to R; Al Peters, Haden Peters, Josh Peters
2. Haden at the helm of the 6XC, me spotting
3. Another match, clubhouse in the background. May be a shoot off if I recall
4. Haden accepting High Junior award
5. Looking through the spotting scope as the kids reset targets

Nothing on their site either , they have a great shooting game Mike but their online person needs to be replaced. They didn't report results last year until almost the end..it's better this season being updated until August but nothing since. I realize people have jobs, lives and families outside of the shooting world but it's very important to keep reporting results in a timely fashion. One these days my brother, Jane and I are going to give this a try, we've been watching from afar, hech we live 70 miles away and have no excuse, until we meet again.

Here is a pic from 10/14 of my wife shooting. She keeps getting better every year. We thank all the hard working people that put on the VBR matches.

Results should be posted soon I turned them last night. So it is my fault they were not posted yet . I was putting in a lot of extra hours at work. Got to them as soon as I could.
