Ridgway 1000 Yard VBR Championship Match

Special thanks to all involved in another well ran 1000 yard VBR match at Ridgway this year! I know you all do not hear it much, but everything is greatly appreciated, from my family. We had abnormally great conditions (aside from the two storms that rolled on Saturday) for Ridgway, and it showed in some of the scores.

I for one am a VERY happy father and son, as our 3 generations of shooters at the bench all placed with each gun and class. This will be Haden’s last year as a junior and was able to hold his title, given the stiff competition this year. He was able to put together two great days of shooting with both heavy and light gun and even win a shoot-off. I’m really happy my father placed as well. Not too many things you can do where you have 3 generations competing and enjoying the whole weekend together.

Couldn’t have said it better myself. Ridgway is always a great place to shoot and I like the way they move the competitors benches every time. You always get to meet someone new and make new friends. I often want to name certain people for their contributions to our shoots but fear I’ll offend someone by forgetting to mention them so I don’t. There are so many people that make Ridgway a great shoot not to mention the BBQ after the first day. My hats off to everyone that made it happen. Thanks again.

Congratulations Petey and family it is cool to see all three of you guys shoot together as three generations! Thanks to Shelly, Steve, Fred and all the target setters and everybody else that was involved in anyway it is truly an awesome shoot. And congratulations to Dave Z. Running for county commissioner,We will all vote for you in this falls general election, you will represent us shooters well !
