I thought Richards sold pre-inletted stocks, not blanks. To me (and most others) a blank is a chunk of hardwood, suitable for making a gunstock out of. A pre-inlet has been rough machined from a blank for a particular model firearm, in a particular style. With a blank, a stock can be made for any firearm that the blank has wood enough to accomodate. There alot better "pre-inletters" around than Richards. However none of them have been in finished just Semi-Inlet or no inlet, so I can't speak to that. I like doing the shaping and bedding and i get extra wood, so I have been happy. I had one issue and they were quick to make it right. None of the blanks were bad wood. I guess some people have problems with everything. I guess I have been lucky, 32 times. ???
