Dodd Actions
I have seen enough of Bob's work to know everything he makes is as good as hands and machines can make. His actions compare well with the other manufacturers. A gun with a Dodd action sells fast.

Stephen: I have been shooting my RFD,bebarreled in a 6mmBR Krieger barrel 28" 8twist). At the time of the rebarreling I had the bolt bushed, it was light striking and cratering the PPC cases. I have discovered that this is an issue with this action. Jim Carstenson bushed it for me, he has a couple of these actions and found the same issues, he has experience bushing this bolt. Apparently the steel used on this bolt is extremely hard. It is shooting great and I love it, excellent work, its too bad Mr. Dodd is out of the gunsmithing business, he now is making what appears to be some beautiful custom knives.
