For sale is my RFD actioned 6PPC. This gun was built by the late Shelley Davidson of 'Tinker Toy' BR lore. There's much more to tell but here's the basics:
-RFD LV series RB/RP action. The LV series are an XP length action. Combo bolt face for BR/PPC cases.
-14 twist 21.5" LV barrel in .269 'no turn' neck by Shelley. Barrel looked to be unfired when I received it. I believe it's a Shilen.
-Speedy 'Millenia' series stock with front and rear weight systems, action is a glue in.
-Beautiful candy apricot paint by Mike Kavanaugh.
The gun as it sits with a 21 oz. scope is 11 lbs/5 oz. with no weight in. It was built to be a perfectly balanced 13.5 gun with either a LV or HV profile barrel. The rear weight system has a piece of stainless bedded behind the grip area and threaded 1/4X20 so a weight with a stud can thread right into it. The front weight tubes will accommodate weight to balance the gun also. There are a few small chips on the paint (shown). The gun would also make an outstanding, well balanced 30BR VFS gun. The gun will come with an almost new Shilen 2 oz. trigger that's just been gone through. The bolt face shows a small amount of light pitting around the pin hole. The lugs and lug abuttments are perfect. I fired the gun just a few times with out of the box Norma 6PPC brass.
$1950 includes 50 pcs. of Norma brass. Bases included but rings and scope are not. I can deliver the gun to the NBRSA Score Nationals at Raton or can be shipped to your FFL (shipping/insurance not included). Pictures show Shelley Davidson and his 'Tinker Toy' gun. You can read more about Shelley in this link to an article here.
