Return policies on brass?

Some years ago, while I was still competing in highpower, I ordered 500 new .223 cases from one of the major, but still family owned, shooting supply firms. They sent me 22-250 cases instead. I called and they would not admit an error but did send an RMA and pre-paid label with the .223 cases I did order. First class service.

Thanks all. Apparently there is not industry standard nor typical policy, just like the responses here cover the spectrum. Doesn't mean I have to like it. :) Rarely have I asked for a return and don't ever recall being denied on. But we learn, right?
I'll sell it off, once I am not traveling and can actually ship it in a reasonable time frame.

The vendor I buy brass from when not picking it up off of the range, specifically states that no brass is to be returned unless they ship the wrong brass. Also, if anything is done to alter the brass, even just lubing it up, it is non returnable.

For me that is fine as they have not screwed up in the dozen or so orders I have sent them this year. Another plus is that they include an additional 25 to 50 cases in case some are damaged or unusable.
