Retumbo

Saw it listed on Brownells site as discontinued today. Anyone know anything about it? I don’t use it but have friends that rely on it.

I don't think ADI Australia has stopped manufacturing Retumbo ( ar2225).

Hodgdon supposedly discontinued H50bmg a few years ago but not because the manufacturer (ADI) stopped producing it. Even so I had managed to buy some a year later.

Both (Retumbo and 50BMG) are still listed (and for sale) on Hodgdon's website. Doesn't mean they aren't discontinued, but there's no note that says that.

Perhaps Brownell's isn't selling enough of it to keep stocking? Sounds implausible, but who knows?

Thanks. I still see it listed on Powder Valley and Mid South also. I am doubting it is discontinued at this point.

Both are still in the "works". - Hodgdon received a lot of "push-back" when they were planning on discontinuing H50BMG. It get used in more than just 50's and it is a pretty temperature stable powder.

Yep, works perfectly in 26 nosler. Retumbo is even more versatile.

It may not mean Hodgdon is discontinuing the powder - but rather Brownell's will no longer order/sell it?

They better not. Retumbo is one of my most widely used powders. Works wonders in 6.5-284 all they way through .300 RUM. A 7mm Rem Mag and 70gr of Retumbo with a 180gr bullet is a hard combo to beat. Excellent accuracy and velocity in almost every 7 mag I have tried it in.
