Retumbo ???

Does anyone have any suggestions on where I can purchase 8# kegs of Retumbo? I use it in a 338 Lapua w/300gr smk's, and also in a 30-378 w/210 gr Sierras. Both rifles have been worked up on this now I cannot find it anywhere. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Happy Thanksgiving to all.

Have you given any thought to trying H1000 ? I frequently shoot with a buddy that loads .338LM , and he is having excellent results with H1000, I also use it for my .300WM. Seems to be a very versatile magnum powder. I never have a problem finding H1000 at my LGS. Never seen Retumbo in supply at my LGS's. I tend to work up the powders that are readily available at my LGS, rather than searching for a specific powder.

I started off with H1000. It's a very good powder. In a similar thread 2 years ago, I was advised by someone to use Retumbo, it would be my best friend. I tried it.

I use it exclusively in my Edge. But as allways said, every gun shoots different.

That's all fine and well as long as you can consistiantly find the powder, but when powder panics sets in all the internet favorite powders fly off the shelfs and your left with "less than favorite" powders. A perfect example with me was 2000MR, I bought severall pounds because it was all I could get, and not much for load advice on the 'net so I had to start min to max and find a node. I did but it took a lot of testing and ammo shot. Now a year later I can't find 2000MR anywhere. When I was embarking on loading precision .308 , four out a five people would say "Varget" that was great except Varg has been non-existent for the past year and a half. I worked the not-so popular powders such as Win 748 , 2000MR , and 4064 with as good as consistency as Varget. So it's a good thing to work up optional powders to keep shooting accurate no matter what the availability (or not available) situation throws at you ! ;)
