Retirement

Today I heard through the grape vine that I was retiring next year. Not unless I win the lottery lol. I am going to try all little bit of a different scheduling process and have not taken in much work recently because I am trying to get caught up but retirement is not in my future for a very very long time probably ever. Just FYI

We think retirement is great . My wife retired at 52 she is now 61 . I'm 63 and retired . One of my wife's best friends since the 6 th grade is laying at home dying or bladder cancer she has always worked .Gayle was a hard worker , she provided insurance for her family and income. My wife went to visit her friend a few weeks ago Her friend looked at my wife and asked my wife so is this the way it is u work all your life then this . Yes they worked hard saved put kids through college . They were planning on buying a winter home on Pawley Island SC . My wife came out with tears in her eyes and said she doesn't regret retiring early one bit. We both came from families that parents died early . U never know .

Retirement my ass! Daughter got divorced a few years ago with two kids (twins 8 yrs old). Now I’m Pop-Pop to a whole new generation. I don’t remember having this much fun as a dad. Only problem is they never shut up, now if I can just find the “Off” switch……..maybe I need a Toddie?

If you have enough money to do what you want, retirement can be a good thing.

if you don’t, you will get discouraged, depressed, turn into a couch potato, get fat, sick and die.

I’m 74, I am part of the ownership of a thriving Machine Shop business, and I have no plans to “retire”.

I love what I do. I like being in charge. I have a fear of being a “Usta”.
