It would be easy to put sides on it if I decide to go that route. I have rubber roof liners that will go on the roof. And I also will double it and put on my bench. To stop the rifles from jumping like on wood or concrete.first off Congrats on your retirement!!
looks good,, need to hang a drop down blind to block the sun , if it applies .
i went a little different route and built mine so i could move it with a tractor
it's a 6X8X8 with 12 volt power for lights /fan etc .. with a solar panel on top .
it's fully insulated inside now .

I have never built anything with plans. I just think about what I want and do it. I'm 3 miles from Menards so when I'm walking around in the store the cogs are turning in my head on what I'm going to do next.I've never built anything except a birdhouse or 2. Are there plans or kits I could buy to build something like these?
Thanks

Sounds like a fun project...and a solar panel to power a fan....... the rabbit hole is DEEP!
My bench is less than 100 yds from my front door. It is so handy.Being retired and the ability to shoot on your own property is fantastic.
I ordered 2 for the sides off Amazon and will buy a ten footer for the back. That's a good idea.Helped a friend build a similar firing range roof. He added a couple of those roll-up bamboo screens to a couple of sides. Mainly to block the sun to keep it off your back-side at different times of day and/or seasons. Screens are found in the garden section of Home Depot.
A good idea. You will definitely need some protection from the sun. I used stuff I had on hand.Helped a friend build a similar firing range roof.
