You could have him look at www.bayourifles.org, but it's a little ways from Burleson. I was not aware that David Tubb shot in F-Class, I thought he was more of a match rifle type of shooter and you did indicate a penchant for F-class in the OP.

Any idea if it's F-Open of F-TR?

I contacted Bobby. We arranged for him to come down to my place and shoot some of my rifles to get an idea if he wants to shoot F-Open or T/R. He has family not too far from me so he will arrange to meet me next time he visits the family.

Bayou Shooter, I told him about Bayou Rifle Club and said he would like to shoot there. But first he needs to get a rifle and get it tuned.

He picked a nice place to live but may want his B-52 back when he finds out that it is an 5 hour drive to the 1000 yard ranges - Houston or Tulsa.
He is about 25 minutes from me.

Aren't there 1000 yd ranges in Denton, Liberty Hill, and Mingus?

Denton- private club, can't remember the name, NOT Denton Co Sports.
Liberty Hill- Best of the West
Mingus- Tac-Pro or something tacticool like that.

None of those ranges are F-Class ranges. They are just plinking ranges.

There is also a plinking/steel 1,000 yd. range about 6 miles south of Breckenridge, TX. I think it's called Ridge Runners Gun Club if anyone's interested. They have a steel bison set at 1,000 meters.
Not an f-class range w/ pits but might be closer to home for some.

I have been there and that is about all it is good for, plinking.
