Reticle preference

Preference is in the person but for those who are shooting 500 to 1000 yds, what reticles are preferred? like a plex, Br, mildot--shooting paper/steel.

I am a BIG fan of fine crosshairs with a tiny dot.

Remember, you can only shoot as well as you can see so the finer sight picture you can use, the better. In NightForce, I really like the CH3 reticle.

For me, the NF CH1 is perfect(medium-fine)
I have the same reticle on a Mk4, as installed by premier. But unfortunately cannot get it anymore..

I like the NP-2-DD as much as any of em ......

I LOVE the NP-2-DD that Nightforce uses. The germans learned long ago that the tapered cross hairs draw the eye to the center of the reticle faster. That is why scope makers jumped on the duplex and fine duplex band wagon.

I wish other scope makers would use the NP2DD, hear that Dion/March???

I,ve tried a bunch of different ones in different brands of scopes and my vote goes to Nightforces NP2-DD as the best of the lot.

i like an MOA type reticle. since my scopes are MOA adjustment, i like the reticle to be MOA also--just a little easier
