Reticle for Smallbore Prone ?

I shot a 50 yard Smallbore prone target today with a Leupold 45X45mm Competition scope with a 1/8 MOA dot reticle. This configuration gives instant feedback on every shot and is fun to shoot. I can see the bullet holes ok and the fine dot reticle worked with a little extra concentration, not ideal but doable. A larger dot would be perfect. I plan to add a white aiming dot to the bull to see how that works with seeing the reticle. This would not be legal in a registered match but may be fun to shoot out of competition if the Match Director will allow. I will also see how this configuration works on the 100 yard SB prone target.
