rethroating 300 win mag?

I have a 300 win mag that seats the bullets to far into the case for what I would like can it be re-cut? Over 500 rounds through my barrel. Krieger 28'' rem varmint contour with break. The magazine can take the length and it would be nice to get back some of my case capacity. I am shooting 190 grain Berger hunting bullets. I already know who would do the work as he built the rifle originally.

If it has a "break" in it I would discard it. 8)
