REST UPGRADE/ NOTICABLE DIFFERENCE?

I have been shooting a Caldwell joystick rest for over a year now and have been thinking I'll upgrade soon. I like the SEB, Sinclair, and many others. To any of you who have gone through this transition, from affordable rest, to higher end models.. Did you experience better shooting when upgrading front rest. I'm trying to justify the cost. Thank you!

Been there and back again a couple of times. I've had Hart, Bald Eagle, Sinclair, Gary Hayes, current Sinclair on a Hart 1000 yard heavy base (total weight 45 pounds!) and now have one of the new Sinclairs on order to try out. I've also gone through various front bags, and rear bag combinations along with different manufacture speed screws.
Way to much info to type here.
I'll PM you my phone number so you can give me a call and pick my brain. LOL!

I didn't really address your question. In short, the answer is yes. However you have to consider the entire package which includes the front and rear bag as well. A series of components that work well together and match your shooting style will help improve your scores over a mismatched setup.

Thank you Danny, I will take you up on that and give you a call when I get home at a descent hour. Hopefully I wont interupt dinner. Thanks again, Larry.

I have owned and tried numerous rests and settled on my current Farley a while back. It is the type that uses the new Edgewood front bag. Once adjusted, it is a fine rest. I have used the older SEB rest and prefer the Farley. I have not tried the new SEB, it looks interesting. Once I shot with a coax rest, everything else seemed too much trouble. YMMV
