Resize dimensions for custom FL sizer

Hi guys. New member here. I am busy planning my very first long range precision rifle.

Just wondering what would be the perfect resize dimensions for a custom FL die on a long range 7mm wildcat (7x57AI equivalent)?

Some folks say 0.0025" resizing on all diameters of the chambering reamer print, others say 0.001" at the base and 0.0005" just below the neck/shoulder junction. I am looking to use the FL die after every shot and want maximum case life.

If I have the reamer print, what instruction must I give my custom die maker?

Thanks
A-max

Contact Neil Jones. He makes excellent custom FL dies custom fit to your brass. But he wants 3 cases fired 3 times and only neck sized before each subsequent firing. Then he measures off of the fired cases and makes a FL die with an insert based on your brass/chamber. Probably 3 month wait.

I have one of his 7/8-14 FL bushing dies in 6 Dasher with Mic style top and I love it.

Thanks 40X, but I was actually looking to go the Whidden route and by providing my reamer print (same thing really). Whidden tells me they typically bore their FL dies to size 0.0025" on all diameters of the reamer print, but I am worried it will cause excessive sizing since I want maximum case life.

This article made me think Bushing Dies and Die Conversions - by Jim Carstensen

particularly the part that says
I feel that the front of the case just below the shoulder should be resized about .0005″, and the base resized .001″. I also think the shoulder, or datum line needs to be pushed back no more than .001″.

A-Max - What do you plan to use this rifle for? I can tell you that with only 0.00125" clearance per side, you are going to need to keep your chamber and loaded rounds very clean, or you are going to have issues. You can adjust the amount of shoulder set back on any die, but if it does not size the case body down enough, it still won't go in the chamber. My shooting and reloading experience is primarily for F-class where blowing dust and dirt can be an issue.

Will be using it in two barrels. One for F-class and a light barrel for LRH and just plain fun. I hear you on the 0.00125" clearance. The thing is I have no clue what is large and small clearances. Difficult for me to comprehend.

I have a set of JLC's (fitted) dies and they work beautifully with my 6PPC.
