I have a HB Sako 6 PPC (A1 action) with the Sako special BR-adjustable (through holes in the TG) trigger that can be safely set down to about 8 oz. (possibly less, but I haven't tried). I'm planning to pick up a Sako 6 PPC (A1 action) sporter-weight repeater that just has the usual Sako single-stage trigger that bottoms out at about 2 lbs. I'd like to be able to replace it with one that can be safely adjusted down into the ounces.
It's highly unlikely I can get one from Sako like that on my HB rifle (that model was made in the 1980s, and Sako is now under Beretta ownership), so I'm trying to find one elsewhere--without any success so far. Jewell doesn't make one, nor do Jard, Huber, Bix'n Andy, and the other top-end after-market trigger-makers. Timney make a replacement trigger for this action, but it only goes down to 1.5 lbs. So my question is: Do any of you guys know a solution to this problem? Either a replacement unit that I don't know about or some work-around like use of a very light spring in the Timney.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
