Replacement Screws for Weaver Bases

I believe they're 6-48 which ends up being the T10 head but no idea on the length. You have two choices there, .250" and .469". Get a screw gizzie, cut, grind, sand them to length. I have a cheap bench grinder with a 6" cutoff wheel mounted on one side and a wire wheel on the other for cutting screws and small stuff to length. Idea stolen from Dave Tooley :)

Free tip: The backside of the gizzie can get hot real quick and burn the end of your finger if you're not careful ;)

Thanks, if it comes to grinding screws, I'll just go to the smith. But hopefully the .250" ones are short enough.

Who friggin uses slot head screws in a metal/metal application anyway these days? (side eye at Weaver)

if you look a little in brownells you can find 6/48 screws with t15 heads— those T10 stink imo
