OK through my own stupidity I broke two Jewell triggers by blanking primers in my 6.5X47 Lapua. The loads are not hot, but the Tubb Firing pin is not a good fit in the Remington bolt so cratering got kicked up a notch to blanking. It needs to be bushed.
So i took apart the one trigger and I see at the bottom of the vertically oriented trip lever (for want of a better term) there is a small toggle that fits on to it. That is the item that snapped, and the pieces look identical to those that fell out of the other broken trigger.
Seeing as I live in South Africa, is it not possible (ie has anyone done it) to just ask Jewell for a replacement part and fix the trigger themselves? Has anyone got a contact e-mail for Jewell? I don't mind paying for the part, but I don't want to post a trigger to the US, only for them to open it up, replace the broken bit and send it back, when they can just send the bit. Lot less risky, because our postal service loses stuff regularly.
If that can't be done, I will see if someone can EDM the part locally.
