RENEWING MEMBERSHIP

Computers and I do not get along and I am ashamed to say that I have a very hard time following directions. My Gold membership expired yesterday so I reapplied last night ,nothing like the last moment !!! How do I find out that it went through? I got an alert this morning that I could renew my membership and I realize that things may not move that quick. If in a couple of days it’s not recorded that I did renew who/how do I inquire ???

Mine ran out last evening. I had inquired with the forum boss what to do before it ran out.
He said to let it run out then you can click on the Upgrade Membership button on the right side of the page NOT the donate. It will tell you what to do from there.
Mine ran out last evening till I remembered it was about 2 in the morning, click on the Upgrade followed it and in about 1 minute was done and my gold icon was on my avatar this morning as always.

It is probably right in front of me, too read, but where and how do you tell your membership renewal date ?

Bill , go to the top in the dark blue strip and click on your FORUM NAME. Where it says account upgrades it will tell you when you need to upgrade.

Got mine renewed when I received the notification waiting for me when I logged in. No problems. Not many things can be bought for $50 anymore.

“Computers and I do not get along”. Lucky you! I have learned to shop on line, using my ipad! I needed a holster. I did a search and found just what I thought I needed! Then I saw another one I’ve wanted since I was a kid watching Westerns. What the heck? I am in Texas! It’s just tooo easy to hit a few buttons and wait for it to hit the mail box!

Just got a notice that my Gold Membership had expired. Never did see when it was to run out BUT, a couple of clicks and Pap Pal did the trick.

A few nights ago click on the site and there it is "Time to renew" couple clicks and my world is right again. Aaaaaaahhhhhhh.......where did I put my drink....lol

Only one gripe; I have a gold membership, but contribute more than $50, but there is no way to give an alternate, larger amount, so I just go to the Donate section and hope that my donation gets picked up as a gold membership.....

Send Form Boss a PM he will hook you up with what your trying to do. Many members give more when they can.

We'll just have to wait and see, lol - I made my donation Wednesday or Thursday. If it doesn't show up as Gold, I'll definitely take your advice.

If I may explain something. The Upgrade Membership Button uses a script so that a Silver or Gold Upgrade should be completed, without human intervention, within a few minutes.

When someone gives a "manual" donation, whether $1 or $10 or $100, we get an email from PayPal. Then I have to figure out who this was from, and whether it was intended for the "tip jar" or whether the party wants to have an account upgrade. In many cases the donating party does not list his Forum name or uses a different email account than is used in the Forum. Then we have to do some detective work.

It really helps if folks use the big Orange Upgrade Membership button. Thanks guys!
