Rendezvous rifle

Site $$ Sponsor
This one is built for the Rendezvous match Tom E puts on. Basically a 22lb BR legal light gun. I used a 1.250 Bartlien barrel and a steel rudder and steel butt plate to get it up to weight. It will also make light gun with a HV barrel and an aluminum rudder and butt plate. It will have 300 saum imp barrels for HG and 30 PRC barrels for LG. The Bat M drop port has been accuracy tuned, the ignition blue printed, shroud fitted, and firing pin modified for a different spring to reduce vibration and increase pin fall so I can time it properly to a worked over Bix n Andy trigger. Its glued and screwed into a 4" low profile deep creek tracker stock.

Did you include a muzzle brake with this big boy. I am in the process of fitting brakes to all my guns for this season. Hope it helps my gun handling.

Beautiful work ,Alex . Very pleasing to the eye . Nice lines , front to back . And I especially caught the subtle fingers grooves .

Paul, that kind of stuff has been hard learned and its one of the few things I dont share. Its one of many things that Im talking about when I say a lot more goes into building a good rifle than just a chamber and bedding job.
Totally understand Alex! Always enjoy your posts and builds, and what you can share always gets me to thinking.

That is awesome

No. I am very interested in the lighter 30s though. A 180-200 grain custom would be something that I think could really work in a LG. Hopefully someone gets working on that ;)
The 187 BIB's were popular out east about 10 years ago. I couldn't keep them together with a 12 twist, so I ended up on 200 Hybrids. Shot fantastic out of a 12 twist at 1K.
