Removing moly from bullets?

Hey Guys, I just got my gun back from being re-barreled and chambered in a 6mm BR. And my question is, Ive got two boxes of Berger 105 VLD's that are moly coated. I got a good deal on them so I bought them. But, I dont want to shoot moly bullets. Is it possible to just put them in a tumbler and remove the moly? I was curious if anyone has done this..

Hello Jerid,

I have always had good luck using the Iosso Case Cleaning kit to remove moly from coated bullets. It will take the bright sheen off of the bullets, but this is just the natural color of the copper jackets. You can always shine them back up if this important to you.

Cordially,
Bob Blaine

Thanks Bob,

I was thinking there shouldnt be anything wrong with tumbling the bullets. But I didnt know if the moly would even come off though.

I guess Ill go ahead and try it.

Thanks,
Jerid
