Remmington 6mm br vs norma 6mm br

I have a rifle in Remington 6mm BR. Can I trim the case length on Lapua 6mm brass and use in this rifle, or are there other differences?

my rifle was 6mm BR Norma, I used lapua cases in that, had it reamed with 6mm Remington BR reamer and trimmed the cases, even after fullsizing the cases they didn't fit, my gun smith had to widen the chamber about .02" to get the Lapua cases to fit, after modification they fit perfectly

I have an older 6MM BR Remington with the shorter case length. I also have a 6MM BR Norma. Fired Norma brass from my Remington chamber measures .468 and fired Lapua brass from my Norma chamber measures .471 at the head. The old 6MM BR Remington had a smaller case head than the current Laupa brass. I have heard that some folks used a small base .308 sizing die to make the Laupa brass fit but I've never tried it. The current Norma brass works fine.
