Remington XR100 Rifles

Has anyone heard any reports on these rifles?

I have just got myself one in 223 and have topped it with a 8.5-25x50 LR Leupold!

The rifle looks the part, just hope it shoots the same!

Plan to turn it into a 6mmbr once the barrels life is over, or if it doesnt shoot well!

Hi AI i have only heard good things about the XR100 my question is if you wanted a 6mm BR why didnt you get a 22-250 so you dont have to altar the bolt? your rifle should shoot under 1/2" all day every day. I have been on to Remington asking if an 8 twist 6mm BR is an option and a 308 but they are not willing to tell anything about future releases and say there will not be an option this year.

Hi Wild Bill..

I got rid of a 223 to get the XR100, mainly for the action..

I have all the 223 reloading gear, as well as 6mmbr comp. dies, but its just cheap to run. 223 goods are cheap and plentiful..

When the barrel dies....,going to take a while at about 5000 rounds), or if the barrel doesnt shoot then well I'll go for a rechamber. There was also a little voice that said that I might try a 204 ruger... Hence the 223 bolt face! Can open it up if I decide on a 6mmBr.. In trouble with a 22-250 bolt face when wanting a 204.

I will keep all posted on the XR100 in 223.

Is the XR-100 a single shot action without a mag cutout accomodation? If so that sounds great, a stiffer action.

Yes it is a single shot, with a 40-X trigger too.
I wish they made it in stainless though.
