Remington triggers

Friend of mine is building a 6BR on a Kelby action, these actions take a standard Rem trigger, looking for some opinions on aftermarket triggers,, how well are the Shilen triggers, not looking for a 2oz, but somewhere around 6-8oz.

I have used several Jewell HVR models and been very happy with them. The Jewell's are high but you get what you pay for. I also had a Shilen on a rifle a few years ago and it worked fine. Nothing wrong with an old style Remington if tuned properly.

Well up until recently, I had been quite happy with the 4 Jewell 2 oz. triggers on my comp.guns.
However,my 30 BR failed to fire twice, each time it occured during a score match. Newly built, has only 300 rounds thru.
Just got back from the smith, wouldn't reset due to warped side plates, punch holes not deburred on inside, front pin holes mis-aligned causing pin to be installed crooked putting stress on the assembly.
I had heard of many competitors, reworking their newer Jewells, thought they were just being anal, now I know better.
Just a heads-up.

I know of one shortrange BR competitor who experienced a Kelbly trigger malfunction which was newly installed...cleaning regimen or blanking was not the cause. They cost even more than Jewell.
