Remington shot shells today...

Bought 3 boxes of Remington gun clubs a few days ago to go shoot skeet this morning because I didn't want to reload a bunch right now.... Opened a box and found this... One shell missing half of itself , yes that white is the wad and shot load and a primer blew completely out of another , the center is still there... Just FYI I have never had a blown primer of any kind in this Beretta over and under in thousands of rounds.... Maybe their QC needs some work in that new plant... Luckily it didn't damage my shotgun... This is not the only problems I have found in the last couple of months but it's the end for me....

Yes sir I normally do myself but this time I took a few boxes of reloads and a few of factory gun clubs becouse I knew I would be shooting 100 rounds today and thought I would save some primers for next week and for a few new hulls to reload.. This is just today , in the past I have gotten gun clubs with shot falling out of loaded shells , only 24 in a box and deformed shells but not half a shell... LOL... I still have one box of this lot and I don't think I want to shoot them... I couldn't figure out how I missed one and resulting in a 24 till I got home and found the blown primer and unburned powder in the action....

I always bought AA's when I bought new because they were pretty good to reload. Federal made good uns in 410. They'd reload a long time.

I shoot a lot of trap. 20,000 rounds is a light year. With components as high as they are I haven't reloaded for years. For 16 yard and doubles I use23/4 dram 8's in any brand, but the last few years I've given gun clubs a wide berth. More ftf and hang fires than I care to remember. Hopefully the new management will get a handle on it. I was at the grand American 8 or ten years ago and showed the reps in the Remington building 8 ftf and one shell that had a rip down its side. They asked me what kind of gun I was shooting! I shoot a k-80 and the rep said he thought it might have been a semi auto and something snagged it while closing the bolt!! That pretty well made up my mind about shooting anymore. Their sts line and nitro 27's are a good shell and great to reload. I can sell the hulls for 4 cents each and almost get the cost of premium shells down to promo pricing.

Yes sir at my club we have been hauling 30,000 hull bags and sorting the hulls we want from the national Shooting center... I have pleanty of good remington hulls and am not trying to complain at all.... Bad things happen... But omg I have found so many problems I actually sent an email this time.... I doubt anything will come from it but I also am not trying to tear up an expensive shotgun but components are hard to come by.... I have plenty and things are getting better so I will stick with my reloads....

Unfortunately the world has gone to Remington hulls since Winchester changed to the high strength hulls... But that can be fixed by a good powder , not Winchester but something like E3...
