August Shotgun Shells in Oklahoma

Ever since I was a little kid, all the stores would fill up with shotgun shells in August. For hunting season of course. I mean pallets and pallets of shotgun shells at every store. My Academy Sports here by my house would have an entire isle of pallets of dove loads and several stacks to the high ceiling behind the counter. Dovs loads were about $5 a box.

All of the Walmarts would get pallets of value pack Federal and Remington. Value packs were about $25 for five boxes.

Any bets on whether there is an aisle full of dove season shells at my Academy Sports this year?

Btw, distributor price from RSRgroup for cheap dove loads when they get 50 boxes is $8. And that 50 boxes lasts a very short time.

$11-$14 per box at local shop, but no case sales permitted. They only have 100 or so of each brand.

Our local gun shop sells a Ton of shotguns in this county-- for sporting clays and doves etc He has shells stacked to the rafters--all foreign brands but he has shells
The local Walmart has shells but it is slim pickings
We are heading oy to WY in a week to PD some and the rancher requested 12 ga shotgun shells--I am Happy to take him plenty--

i was at academy yesterday. they had lots of shotshells. they even had some reloading compents and powder. not alot but some where as before they had none.

Got a friend who guides dove hunts every year. He always has partial boxes of various dove loads and dumps the extras into two five gallon buckets at my shop. All different manufacturers, I just grab what I want, Red, green, 7,7 1/2, 8 and some 9. Works fine for sky rats.
