Remington Peters 223 brass ?

How good is this brass for reloading 223 Rem ? In a bolt gun is it better or would it be more accurate than Lake City 5.56 ?

I've used Remington brass for almost 50 years along with Winchester, Federal, and more recently Hornady. All are good if you prep them probably and size them correctly. In my experience it's the bullet / powder / primer combo that most affects accuracy as opposed to the case but again assumes you have prepare and sized the case correctly.

Can't answer your question on Lake City brass since I've never used it but I've shot 1/4 to sub 1/4 moa groups with Remington brass in my match barrel 223's.

Remington cases have good capacity. Used them for a long time. Now changed to ADI (Australian). Brass is good - has annealed necks and clean primer holes. My Salvage 10 shoots .3 on a good day.

Remember that the Remington-Peters are very old. I don't have an opinion of them, just remember that they are not the current brass.

What butch said is worth considering. Very old brass is good for plinking, but I wouldn't use it for accuracy.

L.C. 5.56 brass is pretty good besides the crimped primer pockets if you get it once fired.
