remington brass

i recently acquired 2 x100 packs of rem 223 unprimed brass and found during the priming stage there where 23 cases with badly offset flash holes, some with brass flaps still hanging in the flash holes. The brass batch number is 61404/g58190052. This fault and photo,s have been sent to Remington, but as yet have not replied. Anybody else had this sort of problem

That's about the biggest load of BS I have ever heard. :rolleyes:The OP may have gotten a bad batch of brass,it happens!) I buy nothing but Remington brass and my Remington 40XB rifles,if I can do my part) will shoot five shots into one hole at 100 yards!

HI Lynn...what are U doin...tryin to horn in on the BS ...evry body know that whn it comes to BS ...Im the "go to" guy...hahhah..I also have had "bad luk" with Rem brass....I think the best "factory" brass out there at the moment is Winchester---but Lapua is hands down the best there is.....I dont shoot any thing that I cant use Lapua brass in or use it to wildcat for....shure wish they made 22-250...6mm Rem.....and 300 H&H....wuld sell like hot cakes....say hi to dad...Roger

Hello,
At last some response to the crappy Remington brass, i thought for the moment that the Remington guys had put a muzzle on fellow shooters in the states. As to getting any sense out of the manufactures, well u could say that the dribble factor is very high, just about puerile in fact. Its amazing how many packets of brass have been returned to the Australian importer, and they are certainly pissed off in a big way.

I have been using Lapua where I can, some Norma, Hornady, very good), Winchester, and yes ONE bag of Remy. All but the Remy were surpisingly good, even the Winny. Neck thickness variation on the Remy was as high as .006. I guess I will have to form my 221FB stuff from Lapua 223.

Boy if I had only known that Remington brass was that great I wouldn't have to be out in the garage making 500 pieces of 17 Remington furball out of 223 Lapua. But on the other hand I would have missed all the sawing, filing and neck turning that I love so well.

Remington makes good brass, you have to be kidding!
