Remington bore cleaner

I did a search for this and did not find anything. I have a bottle of Remington bore cleaner and was wondering how this stuff works, maybe not so good since I did not find any info. I like the cleaner because it does not carry the strong smell of other cleaners. Thanks playersc.

It works very much like JB but in a liquid form. It is recommended by NECO as well as JB as a cleaner during the fire lapping process. Some places still have left-over stock but I do not believe it is being made any longer, this is what I've heard. I have used it and still have a bottle left. As far as I know, it works very similar to JB and is said not to be harmful to barrels. It is an aggressive cleaner that works by lapping.

I have two bottles,4oz) purchased very recently and it is being produced,at least, this year).
The problem is that I could not make it work. It looks like it does not remove anything, cooper, carbon etc.
The paper patch enters clean and after some scrubbing, it comes out clean.
I have tried it only 2 times, but I will try again next weekend and see if it really works. If not, I will continue with my trust Iosso, Hoppes Benchrest and the new Bore Tech Eliminator.

Rem-Clean is the product in which you are asking about I think.I am also seeing it sold under 40X bore cleaner or at least the bottle looks the same..I have used it and still do.It works faster then JB and one can feel the cutting power. At times I think it might be too rough and hard on barrels but I have no facts to back this up..LW
