Remington Boltface resize

If a fella has a Remington 700 223(.375) PTG bolt with a Sako extractor can it be sized to .473 ? How do/would you modify the extractor to work on the larger rim?

I do most of my own work, barreling, drill and tapping threading for brakes etc... but when it comes to bolt work..."Gre-tan rifles"..good work.not exspensive... fast service...not opinion...fact...

Not trying to hijack a thread but I wonder something. If the action is for a 223 diameter cartridge, and you use it for a 30-06 diameter cartridge, with no other changes, how would the cartridge feed well?

Thanks for the vote of confidence guys. I don't have anything bad to say about Gretan.

Probably not very well. It is a short action. The loading port can be modified easily.

If you made a thicker Sako extractor and moved the extractor groove out to a larger diameter then it would be super easy to modify the diameter of the bolt face. That's not a easy task for most but it makes converting easy.
