The Remington company, the old "Big Green", sadly, no longer exists. The new company is simply using the name. It's a whole other company now.

Like lots of the great American companies. Just shells of the former industrial giants, gutted by money men that care nothing of legacy.

Heck man, Ford stopped making cars. Henry Ford is rolling over in his grave.

Last I heard, Vista bought em' out from the bankruptcy. i heard again
that Vista spun them off. I heard again that a Czech billionaire had his
fingers in the pie. I heard also that some firm named Round Hill has the
steering wheel.....Sounds like a shell game with a hot potato......

Guess that’s what happens when a firearms company is no no longer run by “ gun men “.

In all my years in industry I've never seen a buy out, take over or merger that ended well for the firm being bought out.

I've been a Remington fan all my life (well since 68). The last 2 (RARs) had issues. The 6.5 Creed wouldn't shoot worth a plug nickel. Action was great but the barrel sucked. Easy but pricey fix rebarelled.
2nd was a 7mm mag. No primary extraction had the bolt fixed, but it shot great right off the bat.
.Still a big fan though.

I compete with 700's, i hunt with 700's. 2 hours ago i shot a nice whitetail with one of my 700's.
Can't ask for more.
