Remington barrel turned and rethreaded?

can a rem 700 barrel be turned and re-threaded etc. to fit a Savage 12 action? Am thinking about changing to Savage actions/s and have some barrels I would like to keep/use.

You can if it is a varmint barrel. you will have to cut the threaded portion completely off the rem. and turn a new barrel thread for savage .You cannot go over the rem. thread.On sporter barrels no cannot be done unless you make a threaded sleeve . The Rifler
