So after several weeks of the waiting game my Remington alpha 1 is in my possession. I unbox and do a complete look over it is not what I was expecting for a price tag of $1700 . First off I was expecting a a much heavier contour barrel this barrel is .740 at the muzzle trigger says timney probably one of the worst timney trigger I have ever pulled 4# action needs a lot of working the bolt and hopefully it gets smoother . The stock is okay now let's talk finish it literally looks like it was done with a rattle can are u kidding me I don't even know what they were thinking on this one. I ran a patch down the barrel it took 8 patches to clean out what ever black grease they use I'm heading to the range now I will update how it shoots this is definitely a hunting rig

My buddy picked up a Fierce on special, I'm impressed so far, waiting on Tally rings and scope to arrive to see how it shoots. They claim .75moa.

Yes I did shoot it today just a little barrel break in shot clean it shot clean it five shots clean it and then I shot a group shot like probably a half inch 3/4-in Group at 100 need to do a little bit better load development I'm thinking of them might show something promising

I am just guessing but maybe the orange peel finish is so you can hold on to it in the dew, and rain or when your hands get sweaty.

Still have the same feelings as before. I’d much rather pay 1,200 for a lightly used mid 90s sendero/vs/vls than a new remington

So with the trigger I attempted to get it done and 3# is the best I can get out of it if someone has a secret they want to share with me on fine tuning the trigger please share please pm me thanks Adam

I think that trigger is one of Timney's field type triggers and 3 pounds is likely the least you will safely adjust it to. Before I replaced it or messed with it I would call Timney and talk to their support tech's.

I believe you are correct other reviews I read before my purchase said it was a timney elite hunter well I can tell you one thing that is not true it is a very low end timney
