Remington 770 trigger

I have a Remington 770 in 30-06 caliber that really has a poor trigger with a heavy pull, drag and creep. What can be done to get this trigger to a better condition. I have worked on other trigger systems before for both rifle and handgun so I do have some experience improving trigger mechanisms. Your input would be appreciated. However I am not familiar with the 770 trigger system.

Pat, I guess you can tell by the lack of replies not much can be done with a 770 trigger. Just one of those things. You might be able to pick up a trigger on ebay to tinker with. Probably just a few bucks and you could learn a lot. Just a suggestion
