Remington 725 - just another 700?

I bought a REM 725 in 280 around 1973. It was an excellent shooter and sported a 4X scope with a big, thick, post. I paid the grand sum of $125 for it. The previous owner couldn't find factory ammo for it. He had 40 empties but he didn't handload. In 1975 I had it rebarreled to 25.06. I still have it.

I’ve not done one in a long long time , so I found and old nra book . It may be wrong or where I got my info from ? Its so old it only has the 722 to compare to . Since I know ( wrong term lately ) the 722 is the same as a 700 ,you can compare the 725 to the 722 .
Like I said , old but ...
That appears to be wrong.
the 721, 722, 725, 600, 660, Xp100, model 7 and 700 all share the same Barrel Tenon.

As nice as the OP’s Rifle is, the only thing special about it is Remington made fewer of them. Off of the production line, it was made with the same parts as the 721 as far as anything that makes a Rifle more accurate.

They were no more, or less accurate than the 721 of that era.

The items on the 725 that made it different were mostly cosmetic.

digging up an old thread here. Some of you older heads will know this. Will a Rem 700 bolt fit in a 725? I am guessing a 700 bolt will be easier to find. edited,,, answer is yes. at least a short bolt 700 will fit into the 725 receiver. I expect the LA bolt will too.
