Greetings all:
After setting the gun rack for about 25 years I pulled my Remington 722 .222 off for some exercise. I learned (found out) that the safety will not engage with the bolt cocked and closed. It will engage if I lift the bolt, engage the safety and then close the bolt. The safety will disengage normally.
Since it has been so long since I've used this rifle and no longer trust my failing memory I need to find out if this is "normal" or do I have a problem. Perhaps even a suggestion on how to correct the problem if I do indeed have one.
