remington 722 in 222

I have a 722 in a 222 Rem. mag. is one of the most forgiving rifles I have ever loaded for no bedding, no trigger work, factory barrel and will shoot easily .5 moa. i wish they still made them.

I have one and its the most accurate factory rifle I have with my handloads.I use IMR 4198 with the 40g v-maxs and IMR 4320 for the 50g v-maxs.

I have one was my first rifle that i bought. I figured out that over the years i ran about 10k rnds thru it. As the years went by it went from a .5moa rifle to a 1.5 moa rifle at 200 yds. So i finally removed the original barrel and put a new McGowen on it and now it shoots even better than before.

Pawnee Bill,
I would be interested in the results you get with you Ai version as I have just converted a 223 to 222m on a 700 varmint special and have very good results.

I just bought a "custom" 722 today in triple deuce. Trying to find the maker. W.E. Webb? Sure hope it shoots good as it looks.

Grew up with a 722 in 222. Had a 12 power Unertl scope on it and a beavertail stock. That gun accounted for lots of woodchucks!
