Do you guys know if the 721 Remington ( Pre R700) Long action Standard Bolt face takes a different extractor than the Rem 700?
My Old worn out 721 gave out finally. I replaced it with a 700 last night, then it would not mush back onto the relief cut for it allowing the rim of the case to snap over. OK no biggy. I will fix it with a needle file. Well then I could not get it out and finally gave up until today. It is so tight I could hardly even slide it or get ahold of it. over an hour working on trying to get it out which lead to some actual blood letting. I thought I could maybe trim it down in height so that it would float per say like its supposed to but it finally broke taking it out because it was stuck in there.
So much for snapping one in and keep on shooting... sigh...
