Remington 700 single shot conversion

Does anyone know where I could find a glue in single shot load ramp for my Remington 700 that would be contoured to match the receiver? I have a Davidson ramp and like this however it does not match the receiver contour on the bottom, this makes for a less than good looking bedding job.

I have found one load ramp that brownells use to carry made by weldsmith however they have been discontinued and I can't find any info at all on this company. Any help would be appreciated.

Why not glue one in and leave some of the epoxy higher than the action radius? You could the contour the epoxy to the action profile for a smoother bedding job.

Midway sells exactly what you are looking for made by ECT which actually means Dave Kiff. It fits the contour perfectly. A serious improvement over the Davidson.

Thanks tightneck for that valuable info. I'm going to midway's website to order one next.

Tightneck:

Where were you when I had the same problem a couple months ago? I ended up making one from scratch. Thanks for the vector to the Midway/Kiff product. It'll save me some time on the next project!

Cheers,

Well I didnt know it existed until my latest build actually. I ordered it not knowing it contoured so nicely, so it was a pleasant surprise when it hit my doorstep:).

I've been trying to find the ECT singleshot adaptor on MidWay's site and I'm not finding it.
Anyone have a link or any suggestions?
TIA,

Another way of looking at bedding your 700 is to use a sleeve. Then after you glue in your sleeved action with Devcon or JB Weld you could fill the cavity and contour fit for your cartridge and be done with it. You could have all this done before you get the mail order.

Another link was provided for Mr. Kampfeld's site a while back for a bolt fluting question. It does appear to be a fine job for a 40X conversion, although very costly when its all said and done. I really like the fluting he does on bolts and barrels. Spiral fluting a 700 bolt for $50 is a bargain if you ask me.

Thank you, I found it.
I was searching under single shot and nothing came up.
