Remington 700 CDL

Hi All I live in England. I was wondering if any one might help ?
and pass on their opinions about the Remington 700 CDL .243
Thank you Eric.

I've treated myself to two Rem 700 CDL's. Believe them to be a very good sporter rifle, mechanically identical to the BDL, but with a softer "matte" finish on the metal, and a handsome stock. I find them very comfortable to shoot and accurate. My only complaint is that the trigger pull needs some adjustment, but that's a given with most factory rifles these days.

This one is a .25-06, with a 4.5-14x Leupold. It easily shoots sub MOA with two different handloads I've worked up for it.

This is a .300 Remington Ultra Mag. I anticipated fierce and painful recoil, but that was not the case. The nicely designed stock and very soft recoil pad tame it considerably, making it a pleasure to shoot, even from prone. It too is a reasonably accurate factory rifle, producing groups right around 1 MOA with factory loaded 200 grain Nosler Partition bullets. It now has a 3.5-10x Leupold in dual-dovetail rings and bases.

I've been shooting Rem 700's for 32 years now - and the CDL version is by far my favorite. Looks, handling and accuracy are all quite nice. Believe that one in .243 would be a dandy varmint, predator and deer rifle.

Regards, Guy
