Remington 700 actions????

Can any one tell me who sells Remington 700 SA that are new. I may be in the market for a stainless steel 308 bf.

Buy a remington sps from one of the big dealers cheap enough and sell off what you don't use and in the end you will be way ahead,money wise.

There is none to be had!! Must be because of the recall

They've all been taken off the shelves and sent back to Remington because of the recall. But buying an ADL and selling off the other parts is what I did about six months ago. Came out way ahead after selling barrel and stock. But you're looking for SS so you probably will have to go with the SPS I guess. Good luck, keep looking. Regards, Snuggie. 8)

Don't do it! Have you seen one of the new Remington SPS Actions? Personally, I wouldn't trust the newer FULL RIFLE actions as the quality leaves a bunch to be desired. IMHO, go find the Remington Action like Bruno's sells and build on that, that's if you want REASONABLE quality for a custom build. Remember, neither actions are top quality actions like the serious competitors build on, but are affordable. Just my .02 worth.

Ive worked on a few new and a few 10+ year old actions. The new ones were very true, requiring zero work. The old actions required a lot of metal removal to true. My vote goes to the new ones...minus the recall trigger

I have found the late model 700s are much straighter than the older ones. They are built with CNC machinery. Do a search.
I just bought an almost new 700 in 25-06 for $500. I sold the 3X9 Leupold for $125.
In a few months you will see a magazine article on it and it's progress.
